Dr. Giovanna Basilio is a bilingual psychologist fluent in both English and Spanish, licensed to practice in Florida. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a forensic concentration from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in South Florida. Dr. Basilio completed her doctoral internship at the Colorado Psychology Internship Consortium, where she provided forensic psychological services to Colorado’s rural and underserved mountain communities. She then returned to South Florida to complete her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs, Florida.
Her supervised clinical training includes a broad range of practicum experiences across correctional, community-based, and healthcare settings, such as the Broward Regional Health Planning Council, ChildNet, the Broward Department of Juvenile Justice, Krome Detention Center, North Broward Bureau, Palm Beach County Main Detention Center, and the Trauma Resolution Integration Program at NSU.
Dr. Basilio provides extensive clinical expertise in her work with diverse populations, including offering immigration evaluations. She has contributed to the development of competency restoration programs in both Broward and Palm Beach counties and is a published co-author of a Springer book where she contributed a chapter addressing cultural considerations in sex trafficking. Additionally, she specializes in psychological evaluations, neurocognitive therapy, and trauma-informed psychotherapy, offering a thoughtful, integrative approach rooted in evidence-based insight and human-centered care.
All services, including bilingual psychologist consultations, are provided by appointment only. Office hours for forensic psychological services are subject to change and may vary week to week based on clinical and professional obligations. Availability is not guaranteed without confirmed scheduling, and walk-in appointments are not accepted. Please reach out directly to inquire about current openings or to request a consultation, including Spanish immigration evaluation or neurocognitive therapy. While emails may be reviewed on days marked “closed,” responses may be limited.
